All About Editor "Likes"

In early October 2019, Kibin introduced a new feature for users called Editor Likes, which changed the user-facing "favorite editor" feature to "liked editors" and made editor profiles more visible to customers. Now, clients have the opportunity to add your to their "Editors You've Liked" list.

Your editor card in the "Editors You've Liked" box allows a user to click your name button and start a direct request with you or visit your profile by clicking your picture. The client is prompted to add you to their Likes list when they receive the email with your closing comments in addition to having a "Like this editor!" button on your Kibin profile.

You won’t be able to see a list of who liked you, but you will be able to see the number of likes you receive on your Kibin editor profile. Your likes percentage is used as a way to measure the quality of your work along with the level of client satisfaction.

To calculate your likes percentage, simply divide the number of likes by the number of documents you've edited (this is also automatically calculated and shown on your stats page).

We want to point out a few benefits to being "liked" by a client:

  1. As a “liked” editor, you are more readily visible to the authors who liked you and are more likely to receive direct requests from them.
  2. Having a high number of likes improves your Kibin “street-cred” when users are browsing for editors.
  3. Having a high number of likes shows us that you are appreciated by our users, and, in turn, we really appreciate that.

Although you can’t directly control the number of likes you receive, you can definitely influence it by doing your best work. If you want to know more about strategies that have been used to earn likes, you can check out this article. Everything you do as a Kibin editor should be with the author's best interest in mind. If you give each paper you edit your full attention and the utmost care, then you’ll do just fine.
